Adelynn is such a ham. She loves to be goofy by making funny faces, silly sounds and doing some funny moves to make us laugh. She doesn't love when other kids get too close to her...I believe in part because her big sister likes to play rough with her (we are working on it). She's super shy when in public unless we are around large crowds where she tends to be goofy. If someone she doesn't know gets too close, she will let them know by turning her head, saying no or whining. She is a very sweet girl...she loves to open her arms wide and say huh (hug) when Daddy leaves and gives him a big hug. She wants to be included in everything and do what everyone else is doing. For example, if Bryanna is coloring, she has to color, if Bryanna is playing playdoh, she has to, if Bryanna is brushing her teeth, she has to be doing it. She's a pretty good listener when I ask her to please hand me something or please move. She still says thank you (ank-hew) when giving her something. She can have an attitude! She gets frustrated easily when she can't do something and screams. Don't take anything away from her and she will flip out! She does this really loud scream and has already had some laying on the floor tantrums. We have been limiting the binky to just the crib, so when we take Bryanna to school in the morning or ride in the car, it is such a fun ride (NOT!). I have seen an improvement now that we switched her car seat around. We were dealing with some hitting issues. The first time was about 1.5 months ago when she hit her little friend Everett in the face. He laughed so she kept doing it. After that, she would do it to be funny. We tried hard not to react so that she would stop but it continued. Then she started doing it when she would get frustrated, and smack the wall or the floor or whoever was close by. A few weeks ago I started putting her in time out and she really doesn't like that. When she starts acting out I ask her in a firm voice if she wants to sit in the time out chair and she usually stops. If she does go in the chair then she immediately says "all done" and then she seems to be fine after that. Most recently she has shown us that she knows what hitting is and will look at us before she goes to do it and then stops...so it's getting better!
We have been giving her almond milk instead of regular milk as per her doctor. She has hard poops sometimes and if we forget her probiotics then she definitely has it. Since we have switched, we have noticed that they have been softer so that shows she has a milk intolerance. The last few months she has been getting pickier at eating - but she is learning to tell us what she wants and that has been getting better. She asks for Nutella all the time by pointing to the cupboard and says "tella." I made the mistake of buying gummies and she points and says "go-bees." She has known the difference between hot and cold for a while now and will tell us. She asks for help (how) when she needs help. She still loves to dance and has some nice moves! She loves playing kitchen and babies with Bryanna and loves to color too. She's really good at playing by herself too. She loves her books, especially the ones with colors and animals/shapes. She likes to point them out while we are reading.
Putting Nutella on the bread she says "tella" as she is doing it
She practically says everything (or tries to copy it when you tell her the word) but some of my favorite words recently are:
-calling Daddy out when he toots - Doddy toot, Doddy toot!
-shewie - smoothie
-whoawow - water
-cokey - coffee
-ahmote - remote
-go-bee - gummy
-poppy - potty
-tigah - tiger
-ma-nana - banana
-how - help
-yight - light
-yoyo - yogurt
-show - snow
-du - drink
-awight - alright
-fi-ya - fire (pointing to the wood burning stove)
