She likes to lock her knees and curl her toes in, which helps her stabilize (it's harder for her because of the low tone), so we have been working on bending her knees in the standing position. The therapist is so shocked at how much she has improved - she says it typically takes weeks for a baby with low tone to learn these new tricks. I think it's Adelynn's determination because she is into everything!
Now that she has the hang of it, she can pull herself up and get down from anywhere!
We still have to thicken Adelynn's liquids. She is down to one bottle a day (at bedtime), but it is a struggle trying to find liquids in the store that are "nectar" thick. We have found some juices, but the doctor recommends to limit the juice intake. For right now we are thickening the milk with Gelmix (half whole milk, half formula - trying to get rid of the formula) and also thickening some water (which she doesn't really like). The OT (feeding specialist) recommended to try to slowly thin the liquid, which we have tried, and she still coughs. I'm leaning more toward doing the scoping...we need to think about it some more. She would need to be under anesthesia for it, which makes us nervous.
Yes, she has more outfits than these pj's! Haha! For some reason I always snap photos of her in them.
