October 31, 2014 - First Halloween!, Razzing, Laughing

Adelynn was Anna for her first Halloween and big sis was Elsa. It was pretty cold trick or treating but no one complained...just the adults!. Adelynn slept most of the time and Bryanna had a great time, we even met up with our neighbors.

Adelynn started razzing the other day. I was pretty sure that I heard it but it happened so fast that I missed it, so I wasn't sure...but tonight I saw her do it a couple of times....so cute! She's becoming so interactive...she will smile when she hears me enter the room and Daddy can get her to giggle uncontrollably....and she's been cooing even more. My favorite thing to do lately is get her out of bed for naps. She is so smiley and happy, it just makes me so smiley and happy. When she's mad she will start making all sorts of cooing sounds like she is trying to say something.

October 19, 2014 - Sitting Up, Standing Up

Adelynn is getting so strong! She holds her head level when pulling her up to sit. Most of the time when I pull her up to sit, she stiffens her legs and wants to stand.

Here she is sitting up for about 10 seconds and laughing at Daddy. I think she would have went longer but I laid her down.

October 14, 2014 - Jumperoo, Tummy Time

We just started putting Adelynn in the jumperoo to help settle the formula in her belly and she really loves it! She can barely reach the ground so she just sits there and looks around.

Up until yesterday, she really wouldn't lift her head up and all of a sudden she is holding it up like a pro!

October 3, 2014 - Eye Doctor

I decided to take Adelynn to the ophthalmologist because she has a droopy eyelid. We noticed the droopy lid when she was about a month old but the pediatrician wasn't concerned and said it might correct itself. After a couple of months of it staying the same, we decided it couldn't hurt to get it looked at. The doctor said it's called ptosis and that she will probably always have it and that when she gets older it might not be as noticeable. He conducted some tests and found out that she is +5 farsighted and might need glasses. We need to keep an eye on her and if she starts going cross-eyed to contact him to get glasses sooner, otherwise we have a follow up appointment in 6 months and if the number goes down she might not need glasses.

You can see in this picture how her right eyelid is lower than her other lid. If it gets severe enough it could cause other eye problems or even something as serious as blindeness.
