September 30, 2015 - My Gym, Speech Progression

We joined My Gym for Adelynn 4 weeks ago. She is very shy and of course nervous when the teachers get close. Actually, she cries when anyone gets close no matter where we are, even other babies! Last week was the first time that she didn't cry when someone got close, so we are making progress! We are trying to go to as many open plays to get her used to it and Bryanna is allowed to attend as well!

Adelynn has been trying to say a lot of new words this week. The PT from Birth to 3 pointed it out and said she is having a speech progression. Some new words are flower (rar-rar) and balloon (boo-woo). She is also trying to say anything you ask her to say.

September 27, 2015 - Fall Fun In Massachusetts

We went to Silverbrook farm on our Massuchussets visit. This is our second time going here - it's such a cute farm. You pay a fee and get a pumpkin to paint, train ride, horse rides, pumpkin rides and corn maze. They also have lots of animals (bunnies, goats, sheep, ponies and donkeys).

Adelynn wanted to sit (sih sih sih) at the table with the big kids.

She was calling the goats "dah" for dog

September 22, 2015 - 2nd Top Tooth

Adelynn's second top tooth has poked through! You can also see her bottom left tooth has poked through too!

September 15, 2015 - Routine

We have had a hard time getting a nice routine going. Adelynn still takes two naps but it's hard to say when to take the second nap because we always have to plan around when we pick up Bry. Some days she is ready before or after.

Wake up around 7am, throw the binky in the crib, eat breakfast, nap around 9am (I'm trying to push this to 10am), wake up and eat lunch, play, nap around 1:30pm or 3:15pm, eat dinner, play, then get ready for bed around 6:30pm and read books, then bed at 7pm. She gets a bath every other day with Bryanna.

We have been having Birth to 3 every Tuesday at 11am and her Physical Therapist is named Deb. I'm thinking about switching it to 12am soon since I am trying to push back her first nap. We are thinking about canceling soon as Adelynn is doing so well with her gross motor and we are doing My Gym too.

She plays so well by herself. I can clean and vaccuum and she will either watch me or go and play with some toys. She is more interested in Bryanna's toys than the thousand baby toys that we have...she wants to be like her big sis!

Every time we go up the stairs (well, mostly every time, it's hard to get Daddy on board!) we have her crawl up. It helps her build strength and coordination and she has fun doing it.

She doesn't really chew or put things in her mouth anymore. We obviously still keep an eye on her, but she is growing up so fast!

September 8, 2015 - First Lollipop, ENT Update

We had a follow up appointment with Dr. Baum today. He said Adelynn is doing well and to keep doing what we are doing. We found that if she drinks out of a skinnier straw that she doesn't choke as much. We aren't doing anymore thickened liquids and only drinking thin liquids now. Her favorite things are juice and milk.  We had to wait 45 minutes for our appointment, so I gave her a lollipop to keep her busy and she loved it! She kept saying "mo, mo, mo" (more!).

September 7, 2015 - NYS Fair

We had a great time at the fair this year if you take out the 90 degree weather and the fact that we didn't get to see and do too much. We got there a little later than usual, and there were a lot of people! We saw the 4-H building, took a lot of potty and drink breaks. We got to see the Native American village, which we don't usually get to visit, and hung out in the coliseum for an hour and a half while Adelynn napped then watched some of the horse shows. Adelynn was so excited when she saw the horses running around and Bryanna was in awe. After that we went and got our milk and ice cream and saw the butter sculpture. I think after that we rode rides and then it was time to go home.

Cute chubby little baby feet

And then we got to visit Great Grandma Neal before we left to head back to CT.
