August 27, 2014 - First Night In Crib - 6.5 hrs of Sleep!

We put Adelynn in her crib for the first time last night and she slept for 6.5hrs! We are so proud of her and feel so lucky to have such a good girl.

August 26, 2014 - Tear Duct Update

The medicine worked! Adelynn doesn't have a clogged duct anymore...yay!

August 25, 2014 - Going Home, Sleeping, Car Ride

It was a short weekend but we had so much fun, made so many great memories and are sad to be leaving. We can't wait to come back and see every one again!!!

Adelynn did so well! I wasn't sure how she would do, being in a different place with different noises and smells, but she slept so great! Saturday night we fed her around 8:30pm and then not until 4:30am! Sunday, the same thing, 9pm until 5am...we all needed to catch up on our sleep!

I'm typing this as we are almost home from our 5hr car ride and she is doing so great. We stopped once to feed her, put her back in the car seat and she is still sleeping. Hasn't fussed at all! 

August 24, 2014 - NYS Fair

Adelynn's first trip to the Fair, Bryanna's 5th time, Scott's 8th time and has to be my 20th something time...I have missed a few years here and there, but no matter what age, it's still a great time! It's so great having the memories of going to the Fair when I was younger...being with my family, all my cousins and grandparents....seeing all the animals, eating all the yummy food and going on rides. It's a different experience for me now, but almost better the fact that I get to experience this with my own family and see the excitement in Bryanna's eyes and one day Adelynn's too. We had such a great time...great weather, excellent wine slushies and the best part is Bryanna and Adeynn spending time with her family who they don't see that often.  

August 23, 2014 - Rochester Visit

We drove out to Rochester so that Scott's side of the family could meet Adelynn and spend some time with them. It makes me so happy to see Adelynn's cousins so happy to meet her and hold her!

August 22, 2014 - Anniversary, Meeting Great Grandma Neal

Happy 6th Anniversary to us! We got to spend our day driving to Red Creek but the highlight of the day was that we got to spend it with family...and the Loop of course! We stopped at Great Grandma Neals house for a quick visit so she could meet Adelynn. She smiled at her and and grabbed her leg...you could really tell it made her happy!

August 18, 2014 - Dear Adelynn

Dear Adelynn,

I'm writing this as I just picked you up out of the bassinet, you instantly throw your arms up in the air for a big stretch (I think my favorite thing to watch you do, you get so into it, turning your head back and forth, pursing your lips, wrinkling your forehead and arching your back) and you smell like sharp cheddar cheese. I think Daddy doesn't wipe you good enough when feeding you and the milk just sits there in the crease of your neck...and smelling that smell doesn't even take away for one second how peaceful and cute you look laying in my arms right now. Your binky is in your mouth, just sitting there not moving, then you suck suck suck and it moves a little...it's just so stinkin cute. I'm debating on whether to wake you up right now to feed you or sit here and watch you some more. Ugh, you are changing too fast and I just feel like I can't soak it all in enough. I hope all the pictures and videos will help me remember how little and precious you are...but the real thing is so soooo much better. Sometimes I just wish you would stay this size so I could have more time with you but then I think of all the fun things to come and all the memories we are going to make as a family. Oh, there you go again, how can something so little like a deep breath be so sweet. 

LOL, you just did another thing that I love...you slowly slide the binky out with your mouth, pushing it slowly until it finally falls out. Sometimes you get mad at it when it falls in between your face and hand and then your hand that you can't control yet starts pushing it into your face. It's so funny to watch.

BIG stretch! Ok, you are waking up now. Stretch some more then munch munch munch on those hands...guess I better feed you now. 

August 18, 2014 - 6 Week Appointment, Sneezes

Adelynn had her 6 week appointment today. She's a little chunker! She weights 12lbs. 2oz and is 22" long! That makes her in the 95th percentile for weight, 50th percentile for length and 75th percentile for head circumfrance. 

Her left eye with the tear duct blockage still has pussy, green/yellowish goop coming out so she prescribed some medicine that I get to apply 4x per day...yay for me!

She also had her 2nd hep B shot today and boy did she cry hard :-(

August 15, 2014 - Uncle Jacob Visit

Uncle Jake came to visit for a couple of days. He got to meet Adelynn for the first time and spent some time playing with Bryanna - we had fun !

August 14, 2014 - 7 Hrs of Sleep!, Black Tongue,

Adelynn went 7hrs between feedings last night!!! She ate around 8pm and didn't get up until 3am! I hope this continues!

We noticed Adelynn had a black tongue a few weeks ago. The black would scrape off into a washcloth when I rubbed it, but I couldn't get it all off. I googled it and came up black hairy tongue, and also read that gripe water could cause it...not 100% sure what it was so took her in to see the Doc. The Doctor had never seen anything like it but prescribed a thrush medication thinking it could be some type of atypical thrush. We just finished the medicine and it looks like it has gone away.
